A coin

Quite strange,
Things and life,
Appear to be different each time,
A different angle and a different vision,

Beauty in the picture,
And zest in life,
Happiness and sadness,
Success and failure,
Day and night,
Life and death,

So different but so same,
Like two faces of same coin,
One cannot exist without the other,

Acceptance is transcendence,
Summit of happiness cannot be felt without enduring acuity of sadness,
Sweetness of success is insipid without tartness of failure,

There's an alchemistic allure in ugliness,
For only eyes to see,
A desire to feel something phenomenal,
A tear when crying,
The curve when laughing,
The pain when hurt,
The dance when dancing,

A wait for distinction between the faces to fade away,
For a coin will not be the same with one face,
But when the life is what it is and not what I want it to be.
